The Broad Family MBA Scholarship

Established in 2015 by Quentin Broad, B.A. (Class of ’86), MBA (Class of ’88), and his family. One or more scholarships to be awarded to a student(s) entering the 2nd year of the MBA program at the DeGroote School of Business who, in the judgment of the awards selection committee, has achieved high academic standing and who demonstrated qualities of leadership and altruistic service as a volunteer. Included with the application must be a statement by the student pertaining to the stated criteria. (Value: 1 @ $1,000)

The Canadian Tire Scholarships in Management Information Systems

Established in 2001 by Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited. To be awarded by the School of Graduate Studies to students enrolled in the MBA program, with a demonstrated interest in Management Information Systems on the recommendation of the School of Business, based on academic achievement and contribution to the program. CIBC Murray Hogarth Scholarships

Awarded for outstanding academic achievement and exhibited leadership within the MBA community. One award to be awarded to an eligible MBA candidate, who has preferably worked, studied, or lived in Burlington. Not available for 2017/2018

Ford of Canada MBA Travelling Fellowship

Established in 1992 through the generosity of Ford of Canada. To be awarded annually to an MBA student participating in one of the School of Business’ International Exchange Programs. Selection will be made by the MBA Awards Committee. Students wishing to be considered for this award will be required to submit a written statement of purpose for participation in an International Exchange Program. This award is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents only. (Value: 1 @ $3,000)

The Foyston, Gordon & Payne MBA Scholarship

Established in 2013 by Foyston, Gordon & Payne Investment Counsel. To be awarded to a full-time student who has completed their first year of the MBA program and has chosen Finance as their specialization and who, in the judgment of the MBA Awards Committee, has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. Preference will be given to a student who has demonstrated leadership through participation in either university or community activities. (Value: 1@  $10,000)

G.J. Lozinski Foundation Scholarship

Established in 1983. To be awarded annually to a student, Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, entering the second year of the MBA program. The recipient will have demonstrated a high degree of scholarship and an interest in entrepreneurship. Selection will be made by the MBA Awards Committee. Included with the application must be a statement by the student concerning his/her interest in entrepreneurship. (Value: 2 @ $2,500)

The Halton Rotary Clubs/Pythons’ Pit Entrepreneurship MBA Scholarship

Established in 2013 by the Halton Rotary Clubs with proceeds from the Pythons Pit business plan competition in the spirit of encouraging high-level business education in pursuit of entrepreneurial innovation and success. To be awarded to a student enrolled in the MBA program who demonstrates a high level of scholarship and entrepreneurial initiative. Preference will be given to participants of the Pythons Pit. The James M. Stewart Award

Established in 2014 by Mark Stewart (’06, ’10) in memory of his father, James M. Stewart, and his work toward equitable living for all citizens in the Hamilton community. The award will be granted to a student entering the second year of the MBA program who, in the judgment of The DeGroote School of Business, has demonstrated achievement of notable academic standing, exceptional leadership, and application of their academic and extracurricular experience toward community service in the Hamilton and McMaster communities. The John Deere Foundation Graduate Scholarship in Management Information Systems

Established in 2001 by the John Deere Foundation of Canada. To be awarded by the School of Graduate Studies to a student enrolled in the MBA program, with a demonstrated interest in Management Information Systems on the recommendation of the DeGroote School of Business, based on academic achievement and contribution to the program. Robert Allan Kennedy Community Service Award

Established in 2012 by Robert Alan Kennedy, MBA (Class of ‘67) to mark McMaster’s 125th anniversary, the 50th anniversary of the MBA program and his 45th MBA class reunion. To be awarded to a student in good standing who is entering their second year of the MBA program, and who, in the judgment of the MBA awards committee, has demonstrated exemplary service in the Hamilton or Burlington area through their community leadership, extracurricular and volunteer activities. Not available for 2017/2018

Robert Alan Kennedy MBA Scholarship

Established in 2012 by Robert Alan Kennedy, MBA (Class of ’67) in recognition of his 45th Class Reunion. To be awarded to a full-time student who has completed their first year of the MBA program and has chosen Finance as their Specialization and who, in the judgment of the MBA awards committee, has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. The MBA Class of 1988 Greg Brophy Memorial Scholarship in Principled Leadership

Established in 2008 by the MBA Class of ’88 in memory of Greg Brophy. One or more scholarship(s) to be awarded to a graduate student who is (1) entering the second year of the full time MBA program or (2) entering the co-op MBA program and has completed one term of the academic program and the first co-op term and who has in the judgment of the DeGroote School of Business demonstrated principled leadership through a continued commitment to community, through volunteerism or community service at a high level. The School of Graduate Studies will award the scholarship on the recommendation of the MBA program Awards Committee. (Value: 1 @ $5,000)

The Victor and Helen Harshaw Fellowship in Business Administration

Established through the generosity of Victor and Helen Harshaw to recognize and assist an outstanding full-time student at McMaster University enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program. Each year the student who holds the Fellowship will be selected by the MBA Awards Committee of the Faculty of Business and shall hold the award for one year only. The William J. Schlatter Scholarship

Established in 1988 by the School of Business and a generous donation from Mr. Jack S. Darville-BCOM “68 in honour of Dr. William J. Schlatter, the first Dean of the Faculty of Business and former professor of Accounting. The scholarship will be awarded each September to the student entering the Accounting and Financial Management Services or the Management Accounting specialization with the best grades in A600, A610 and F600. The Rob MacIssac Leadership Award

Established in 2008 through the generosity of the Burlington Economic Development Corporation. To be awarded to a returning student in the MBA program.
