What are your top 2 industries: Pharma and Healthtech

What made you pursue an MBA: Coming from a healthcare background, I really wanted to pivot from research into industry – where I could make a strong, tangible impact. Through my experiences in healthcare research and operations, I realized I enjoyed solving broader organizational and strategic problems, and I wanted to build the business and leadership skills needed to drive change at a larger scale.

Why did you choose DeGroote: I chose the DeGroote MBA Program because of the co-op portion. I wanted a program that would allow me to gain hands-on industry experience while still in school, and DeGroote provided that opportunity. I was also drawn to the collaborative culture, strong sense of community, and the ability to connect with classmates from a wide range of professional backgrounds.

What has been your favourite part about the MBA: I have really enjoyed getting to know all the wonderful people here. I have made amazing friendships that I will carry with me throughout my life, and I’m super grateful for that!

What is one quick tip you have for a first-year MBA student: Say yes to opportunities early on – whether that’s coffee chats, case competitions, or networking events. The MBA goes by quickly, and a lot of the value comes from the people you meet and the experiences you put yourself into.

What has been your favourite course at DeGroote, and why: I really enjoyed Essential Business Skills 1 with Dr. Head! The course pushed me outside of my comfort zone by putting me on the spot and strengthening my presentation skills, and it sparked my interest in competing in case competitions.

What I wish I knew on Day 1: I wish I knew that stepping outside of my comfort zone would lead to the biggest growth. The moments that felt intimidating at first ended up being the most rewarding!

What is one of your favourite weekend activities: Badminton/Gym

Who is your favourite author: Christopher Paolini

What would be your “walk-on song”: Summer’s Gone – Dabin, FrostTop, Tiffany Day

What is your favourite TV show: One Piece
