Declaring Your Specialization
MBA Full-time and MBA with Co-op students will meet with an Academic Advisor in academic term 2 to formally declare their specialization (plan). Students admitted into the Accelerated program are required to declare a specialization (plan) in term 1.
Students can declare (or change) their specialization by submitting an eform on McMaster’s Mosaic system.
Student’s academic plan will be updated once their request is approved by the MBA Academic Advising team.
An Academic Advisor will review student records before graduation to make sure all the specialization requirements are met. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they complete the courses required for their specialization.
Exception: Before a student can register for the Health Services Management specialization, an Academic Advisor needs to make sure they meet additional requirements. Contact the Academic Advising team if you’d like to choose the HSM specialization.
