C610 - Health and Society: Shaping the Vision for Efficient and Equitable Healthcare
This course offers an in-depth look into healthcare management and its complex interplay with societal impacts, emphasizing Canadian and global healthcare systems. It is designed to deepen students’ understanding of key management principles, decision-making processes, leadership strategies, policy formulation, and strategic planning within the healthcare sector. The “Society” component explores the relationship between societal dynamics and health outcomes, focusing on demographic shifts, such as aging, as well as health disparities, equity, and the effects of social determinants of health. This course also highlights the importance of health policies in promoting health equity.
