O610 - Business Analytics: Generating Insight through Data and Analytics
In this course, students will learn and practice deriving data-driven managerial insight by employing various data analytics methodologies and techniques. The focus of the course is on applying the concepts of business analytics, statistics and statistical inference as well as time-series analysis to address business problems. Topics will include, but are not limited to, aggregating and summarizing data, visualization, risk and uncertainty, probability and random variables, sampling distributions, interval estimation, hypothesis testing, inference in regression analysis, time series analysis and forecasting. Concepts are practiced with data using software and reinforced in a group project.
