Education: Biology at the University of Ottawa.
Co-op Experience: I’ve done all my co-op work terms at Fresh Taste Produce, where I worked as a Procurement Assistant and am now a Special Projects Analyst.
Reason for pursuing an MBA: I wanted to pursue an MBA because it gave me the opportunity to advance my career, while also gaining new knowledge and skillset.
Why DeGroote was chosen: I choose the DeGroote MBA Program due to their co-op stream, which has given me the opportunity to practice what I learned in a professional business setting. On top of that, DeGroote’s community really stood out as a welcoming environment for a first time business student.
Favorite MBA experience: My favorite part of the MBA experience has been all the connections and friendships I have made through group projects and club events.
Tip for first-year students: Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone, talk to people, join clubs, go to events, they’re all great ways to get the most out of the MBA.
Industries of interest: Consumer Packaged Goods and Operations.
Club involvement: I have participated in many club events throughout my time at DeGroote, such as the MBA Formal and the Motionball Bowling Fundraiser event.
Weekend activities: My favorite thing to do on the weekend is curl up with a good book, my dog and an iced coffee.
Favorite course: My favorite course at DeGroote was Managerial Accounting.
Fun facts/hobbies: Some other fun facts about myself are that my favorite animal is alpacas and I can do the worm.
Favorite book/movie/podcast: My favorite book series is Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and my favorite movie series is Austin Powers.
